Eric R. Meissner is one of three partners at the Meissner Law Firm along with his brother and father. After high school he moved from southern California to Santa Barbara where he received his Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Then, he moved back down to southern California where he obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Whittier Law School. At law school, though hard work and dedication, he became the recipient of the CALI Award of Excellence.
Eric is admitted to the State Bar of California and the United States District Court. His primary area of practice is personal injury representing tort victims arising from automobile accidents, trucking accidents, motorcycle accidents, pedestrian accidents, products liability, premise liability, trip/slip and falls, dog bites, employment discrimination, and wrongful termination. Within his first three years of practice he represented a business client in a contract dispute that resulted in a $3.25 million dollar settlement. He has also successfully secured significant compensation for survivors of childhood sexual abuse in cases brought against powerful institutions, including the Catholic Church.
He brings to the firm a vast knowledge of the personal injury field, including extensive litigation experience. He worked for several years at the Meissner Law Firm as a law clerk gaining invaluable experience all while learning how to negotiate insurance claims in order to obtain the highest possible settlement for his clients. He is passionate about seeking justice for those who have been injured in accidents.
In his free time, Eric is an avid golfer and soccer player. He also enjoys spending time with his family, including taking vacations to the mountains where he pursues his passion for snowboarding. He grew up playing multiple sports including football, soccer, baseball and track and received the Athlete of the Year award at his high school. His experience as both a leader and an athlete has instilled discipline, resilience and strategic thinking, qualities that directly translate into his effectiveness as a lawyer and advocator.
His excellent advocacy has earned him a spot as a Southern California Rising Star from 2024-2026, a distinction that only 2.5% of attorneys in Southern California receive.
